We'd like to offer a warm welcome to our crown green bowling club. Established in 1864 we have a proud history of social and competitive bowling. You will find us in the grounds of Clitheroe Cricket Club on Chatburn Road, Clitheroe.
Monday Morning Club - Shed on the Green
This club runs throughout the year from 10.00am and is an opportunity to meet members.
The team maintain the grounds, play bowls in the summer and Petanque through the winter or just have a chat and a brew.

Our petanque season has started!
All welcome to join members on a Monday morning at 10.30am for some fun and competition,
This runs throughout the winter for now as building a new purpose built piste. Watch this space!


Winter maintenance
Thank you to all who are working throughout the winter on the grounds which are looking lovely in the winter sun.
Clubhouse upgrade started with bench seating going in and club history revealed by putting on display the old wooden bowls.

From April to September.
Open to anyone who would like to have a go at crown green bowling, bowls will be available for use with members on hand to help. They are also a good opportunity for you to meet members and find out more about joining the club. ​

Come along on a Friday afternoon to our Social Bowling. No experience needed and bowls available to try out.

Please remember to always wear flat shoes on the green and for safety no open toed sandals.

The bowling green is open most days throughout the summer provided it is not waterlogged and there are no league matches as shown on the notice board. So bring your bowls along and try out our interesting green for a small green fee.
